1. Download Structure Sensor Calibrator which can be found here.
Make sure that your sensor is fully charged and that it is unplugged before launching the app.
2. Plug in Structure Sensor
When prompted plug in the structure sensor.
3. Wait for Sensor to initialize
This may take a few minutes with Structure Sensor 3.
4. Start Calibrating
You can click the "Watch Tutorial" to watch a video on how to calibrate.
When you are ready click the "Start Standard Calibration" Button.
5. Calibration Instructions
Ensure that you are scanning a flat complex pattern. A computer screen is not ideal. Something like a chess board should be enough.
6. Calibration Issues
The light might not be good enough for the scanner or the pattern while complex might not be the best for the scanner. As previously mentioned, a chess board is helpful and repeating patterns that are black and white are best.
7. Finish Calibrating
Follow on-screen instructions. It may take a few moments to calibrate when the scene quality is good. Slowly move the sensor around until the sensor moves on to the next step.
8. Calibration Tutorial
If this is your first time calibrating the sensor it would be good to do the calibration tutorial check, otherwise you can skip it.
9. Check Calibration
You can check the calibration with different objects; it does not have to be the item that you calibrated with. If the calibration seems off, move it over and sync up the 3D overlay with the item on screen.
10. Save Calibration
Once the item and the overlay match and look complete click the save calibration button.
11. Calibration Complete
Your Scanner is now calibrated.
